Ronald McDonald House provides free living accommodations for patient families receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. You can help families in their darkest hour by joining our team of committed Guest Services Volunteers (GSVs). GSVs interact with our staff, other volunteers and our amazing families. It’s easy to fall in love with our House, our mission and the families we serve. Just ask the volunteers who have been with us since we opened our doors! The nonprofit provides lunch and dinner for its families every day, so they don’t have to worry about preparing or buying food. While the program is suspended to reduce the number of visitors to the House, there are still ways for volunteers to help support the meal program. To thank the community, Ronald McDonald House incorporated homages to Cincinnati throughout the building, including naming rooms after different neighborhoods. A single dose of the medicine that Darcy needs costs as much as a small house. Having the Ronald McDonald House allows Darcy’s family to not have to worry about paying for a hotel or food while they get their daughter the care she needs.

Our 177 bedroom House is the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world. Ronald McDonald House broke ground on the expansion in September 2018, and the nonprofit will host its grand opening—a virtual celebration—on Monday, November 30. The 7-floor addition adds 99 rooms to the Ronald McDonald House, creating a total of 177 rooms for patient families.
